A Special Weekend Will Celebrate and Showcase a Vital Ingredient in City’s Scouse Style
Liverpool’s thriving fashion maker and designer community will be centre stage as part of a nationwide programme of Fashion Britain events, curated by British Fashion Council. Presented by All Over the Shop at Liverpool’s Metquarter, Beyond The Rail will shine a spotlight on the city’s maker community, styling expertise and independent designers as they showcase their knowledge and creativity in a celebration of Scouse style.
Supported by Liverpool Business Improvement District, the event will showcase the vital creator and maker community in the city, that underpins its fashion industry. Fashion is worth 17.2% of the city’s economy.
Across the weekend of 18 – 20 September, a three day immersive fashion and creative experience will include hands on workshops, a relaxed makers space for creatives to work together on their own practice, a style bar with advice from everything to styling, makeup and beauty and personalised drop-in stations to customise and personalise their fashion and lifestyle pieces. Across the weekend, a curated selection of All Over The Shop trader pieces will showcase fashion themes and edits.
It’s part of Fashion Britain and London Fashion Week, in collaboration with the British Fashion Council. Liverpool is one city across the UK where the spotlight is being shown on the fashion industry that is independent and thriving.
