GPO, Liverpool’s largest food market, will welcome kids aged five to 11 to enjoy an action-packed calendar of STEAM workshops between February and August.
Taking place during school holidays, each hour-long workshop will introduce youngsters to a different element of STEAM education, covering science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths. With sessions ranging from rockets to potions, exploding rainbows to chromatography butterflies, there are workshops to inspire all kinds of inquisitive young minds.
The workshops will be facilitated by AmazeLab, educational experts who deliver an inspiring, creative take on STEAM subjects and their relevance to everyday life. Each child-only event will be held in GPO, part of Metquarter, who will also offer a free kids meal for every adult meal purchased during the workshops. GPO champions independent regional food talent, showcasing a wide variety of cuisines with a focus on street food. With 11 independent kitchens to choose from, the AmazeLab workshops provide the perfect opportunity to escape the school holiday chaos and enjoy one of the best meals on offer in the city, coffee, cake, or even a drink or two.
