Unexpect the Expected!
On Friday 26th & Saturday 27th, Pravha is taking over the GPO Food Market for its Unexpect The Expected Tour! From 4pm-10pm on both days, the Pravha team will be bringing the bold flavour and light taste of their beer to GPO, alongside live music, huge giveaways and much more!
There will be live DJs, sax players, upside down selfie stations and a massive amount of fun.
GPO welcomes walk-ins, but for busier periods, we’d recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Book here.
GP-Oh My Goodness!
Fans of the GPO Food Market will already know about the fantastic range of independent kitchens to satisfy your hunger, but have you heard about the brilliant new tenants? Check out the new kids on the block below to feed your food cravings this Bank Holiday weekend.
Founded by Rob Ferguson whilst he was on furlough in 2020, Ferguson’s specialises in handmade, freshly baked loaves of sourdough. In addition to these amazingly delicious loaves, the full menu showcases seasonal flavours and produce – from the creamy tarragon roast chicken and mushrooms to the burnt custard tarts with sourdough puff pastry – each dish is packed to the brim with maximum flavour.
So if you see us skipping around Metquarter with a sourdough focaccia tucked under our arm – you know why.
No offense to your Mum, but Tang Hotpot beats her hotpot any day of the week. Utilising a traditional Chinese cooking method, Tang is the ultimate build-your-own experience. Grab a bowl and pick out your favourite ingredients, take it to the till to be weighed and the chefs will turn your ingredients into a delicious bowl of hotpot, using their traditional soup recipe, made with 18 Chinese herbs and spices. They’re onto a winner with this dining concept and we can’t wait to assemble the gang and enjoy some hotpot over a few cocktails this Bank Holiday.
Hopelessly Devoted To Film
As part of Everyman’s throwback season, they’re hosting a special screening of Grease this Bank Holiday Weekend. Celebrating the life of the late Olivia Newton-John, this screening is also raising funds for Everyman’s chosen charity, Future Dreams, which funds research for secondary breast cancer and provides practical and emotional support for those touched by the disease.
We’re sure by now that you won’t need us to recap the plot for you, but the screening is bound to be a feast of nostalgia – you can also live your American diner fantasy with the complementary drink and hot dog or pizza with every ticket.
