GPO will welcome families this summer with free children’s meals served up alongside every adult order.
The initiative, which is hoped to ease financial pressure on families as they entertain little ones over the summer holidays, will run from 16th July until September, daily until 7pm.
The scheme is being supported by every vendor at GPO, Liverpool’s largest food hall, and part of Metquarter. Visitors who order a main meal will be invited to add a child’s portion from the same kitchen, free of charge.
Food orders at GPO are taken through the iBe Loyalty app, meaning that customers also benefit from immediate cashback on their meal.
The family friendly venue will also be welcoming budding young engineers, builders, coders and imagineers to take part in its summer-long series of LEGO Education Robotics Workshops.
Children aged between seven and 10 will have the opportunity to join the hands-on workshop, where they will build and code a LEGO Robot using LEGO Bricks, Motors, and Sensors from the LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 Set.
The workshops will investigate how robots can be used to help us explore space, and the young innovators that attend will develop their coding, creativity, STEM and real-world problem-solving skills, whilst having a lot of fun.
The workshops will run every Wednesday 11am-12pm starting from 28th of July. Tickets are £15 per person and available at the-gpo.co.uk/event/lego-education-robotics-workshop/.
With ample open-air seating facing onto recently upgraded Victoria Street, GPO sits behind the Metquarter’s beautiful historic 19th century façade next to Everyman Cinema.
The food hall is open Sunday to Thursday 8.30am until 11pm, and 8.30am until midnight on Friday and Saturdays. To book, visit the-gpo.co.uk/bookings/.
