Liverpool’s Metquarter has welcomed top London clinic, The Regenerative Lab to the centre. The walk-in commercial COVID-19 testing centre will allow people to get the tests needed ahead of travelling abroad for business or personal reasons, in a convenient central location.
Services offered at Metquarter by The Regenerative Lab include “Fit to Fly” PCR and rapid antigen COVID-19 tests starting from £49, which are a mandatory requirement by many countries and airlines ahead of travel. The tests must be completed privately to avoid burdening NHS services and it is likely the requirement for “Fit to Fly” COVID tests may continue for some time.
Those who urgently need to travel will be able to get a PCR test result on the same day if they are tested before 12.00 noon, or a certified rapid antigen test at any time, with a range of other services available.
The Regenerative Lab uses its own certified laboratory to test the samples and is one of a handful of services that is included on the Government’s approved list of providers for “Fit to Release” testing, where travellers returning to England can shorten their quarantine period with a negative COVID-19 test.
The opening continues the repurposing of the Metquarter and complements its new and varied offer following the recent launch of GPO, Liverpool’s largest food hall.
Services are also available for film and TV productions, businesses, schools and other organisations who may require COVID-testing to operate.
